The Feat. Black AF: America’s Sweetheart

This week on The Feat. we present to you an indie black comic book you should definitely peek your interest. Black AF: America’s Sweetheart. It’s set in a work where only black people have super powers and a 15 year-old girl named Eli Franklin who just happens to be the most powerful person on the planet. In the aftermath of the world learning the whole only black people have superpowers thing, Eli makes her debut as the superhero Good Girl, on a mission to help people and quell the fear of empowered blacks. When a super-terrorist threatens to take away everything Eli has worked toward, will donning a patriotic costume be enough for her to find acceptance?

So many interesting twists on superheroes, race, and patriotism, it’s a book well worth even non comic book reader’s time. It’s created and written by Kwanza Osajyefo and Tim Smith 3 with art by video game Art Director and illustrator Jennifer Johnson.
