3. “The Bodyguard” Soundtrack (1992)

The biggest soundtrack of all-time is the 3rd biggest R&B album of all-time and Whitney Houston’s masterwork. Selling an astounding 45 million copies worldwide, “The Bodyguard” soundtrack is the fourth highest selling R&B album of all-time. The album featured hit singles such as “I Will Always Love You,” “I’m Every Woman,” and “Run to You.”

2. “Bad” by Michael Jackson (1987)

“Bad” is the album that cemented Michael Jackson as THE KING. Selling over 45 million copies worldwide, “Bad” is the second highest selling R&B album of all-time. The album featured hit singles and music videos such as “Smooth Criminal,” “Man in the Mirror,” and “The Way You Make Me Feel.”

1. “Thriller” by Michael Jackson (1982)

Everyone knows this one. With over 66 million copies sold worldwide, “Thriller” is not just the highest selling R&B album of all-time, it’s the highest selling album of any kind, period. It elevated Michael from superstar to King of Pop and featured multiple #1 singles such as “Beat,” “Billie Jean,” and of course the iconic “Thriller.”
