This week in #CultureClassics we get deep with a clip from A Different World, Season 5 Episode 14, “Cats in the Cradle”.
The episodes finds Stars Dwayne and Ron caught up in a dispute with some wealthy fans at a football that quickly turns contentious and racial. One of the most powerful episodes in black television history and even though it aired in 1992, Dwayne Wayne’s points (along with his anger and fear) are sadly still relevant for any person of color today. This clip is Dwayne’s speech but the entire episode is amazing and worth watching.
