Dr. Elvis is the unique combination of a doctor and a singer. Showcasing multiple talents like only we can, Dr, Elvis Francois is an American orthopedic surgeon and amateur singer known for making videos of his singing covers at the hospital he works in. He really rose to prominence for his inspirational videos singing during the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic.

In April 2020, Francois released an EP “Music Is Medicine” to raise funds for COVID-19 relief. H e followed that with an EP in February of 2021 entitled “Put A Little Love In Your Heart”. Francois created both with the help of Dr. William Robinson (who plays the piano).

Francois’ first TV appearance was on “The iHeart Living Room Concert for America” on FOX several days after his first viral video. His incredible vocal range helped him stand out more than stars like Elton John and Billie Joe Armstrong. He then performed “God Bless America” during the NBC Special “Back Home Again”, and performed the “The Star-Spangled Banner” at the 2020 Indianapolis 500. The culmination being his appearance on season 4 of The Masked Singer as the “Serpent” who was the first character with animatronic parts. He was eliminated in the eighth episode almost winning the whole thing.

Francois is no slouch on the medical side either. He completed a 5-year residency at the Mayo Clinic in June 2020, and completed a 3-month spine surgery fellowship at Harvard Medical School in November 2020. Again, Dr. Elvis is a man excelling at two completely different disciplines and making it look easy to boot. True #blackexcellence here.

#FunFact: Dr. Elvis was also named to PEOPLE magazine’s Sexiest Man Alive 2020 list.
